Old Analogue Cable Q

Sorry but i'm a bit of a noob to this, so...

I'm at univeristy halls with an old cable analogue connection(telewest). The box seems reeeally old. made by Scientific atlanta. Any way of getting 'all the channels'. Or would i have to buy a hacked box.

Can i just get one and connect it up as usual?

The set top box goes via a coax cable to another 'hub like thing' where all the other rooms go to too. this then disappears outta our flat. i can't order ppv movies too.

8602 V1 can be modded (must a a black loop at the rear end).
You will need an internal resetter chip, and maybe a couple of other mods as well.
8602 V2 cannot be done.
I suggest you check other forums for full info e.g modshack.
Sorry ppv movies went some time back in most areas. Some movie channels though older films.
Football ok if thats your bag + others.

i went on satdudez and this guy said it cud be done on them v2.

went on modshack and people says u cant really.
