How to make my fave skoolpud: Choccy Concrete!

My absolute fave pud at school (no not telling you when I left) was Chocolate Concrete....found the recipe!

Enjoy!

5 oz butter or margerine
5 oz sugar
1 egg
6 oz Plain flour with a teaspoon of baking powder in it.
1 oz cocoa powder

Mix the butter & sugar together
Add the egg
Mix in the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder

Grease a baking tin and spread out so that it's about 1 and a half centimeters high

Bang it in the oven at Gas Mark 4 for about 35 minutes.

Leave it to cool you impatient ba$tard$ else it won't be hard!

I remember having to make rock buns at school in a gas oven.

When I opened the door to check them A big cloud of black smoke came out and currants flew all around the room.:whistle

When I was at primary school we had cooking. I had been given a recipe for little chocolate cakes so my mum measured everything out for me in advance so I wouldn't get things wrong. Except for the salt, i had a bag of it so I poured it in. I forgot my mum said to use a pinch of it (d'oh!).

Still tasted better than concrete chocolate (hello, er hello..? flavour? are you here..?!)
