Default Problem With Geforce FX5200 Graphics Card

    hi there,
i recently bought a new Geforce FX5200 tv out graphics card, which i have installed and connected to my tv. I am receiving the picture of my desktop on the tv but when i go to play a movie using windows media player then the tv goes blank. Is there something i need to setup in the preferences so i can view it?

Any help would be much appreciated as i cant find any instructions online.

    Cheers Paul

does it run games on the telly?

can you alter the output mode of the card to what your TV is using (ie. PAL or NTSC)?

is the secondry output set to tv and not monitor (this was an option on me gforce4)

and make sure the screen res is not to high, our tv did not bode well above 800 x 600

this is all i can think of m8 so if no good sorry.

yeah, have a fiddle about with your Resolution, DPI and Hertz in Display Properties > Settings > Advanced

    Good Luck,

its usually to do with the refresh rate mate

make sure you synchronise the refresh rate of your tv with the monitor,
e.g. make them both 60hz and it works but if the monitor is like 85hz it can **** up

or atleast ive had this before mate..

hope it helps .. give us a shout
