    Default 4x recording ??

    I have a liteon 16x dvdrom and a Pioneer A06 4x dvd writer.
When i copy a disc to disc it isn't doing it at 4x , it takes around 35-40 mins to complete , even though the settings are set at 4x and max read speed. It does this using juggler, nero and recordnow so i know its not software fault.
I doesn't seem to be the Pioneer at fault so what is up with the Liteon drive , it is meant to be 16x dvdrom??
If i put the image on the hd and then burn back at 4x it does it in about 15 mins.

sounds like the liteon is not reading fast enough for the pioneer to write at 4 speed

Have you tried moving the 2 DVD drives onto differnet IDE cables - should make much difference but easy to test.
