Call Of Duty to call in PUNK!

Seems like the CoD has listened to the fans and will include PunkBuster anticheat in the long anticipated patch.

I think this is a good idea as too many n00bs cheat and it takes away from the game... most servers play with realism and FF turned on so the idea is to have a realistic battle environment....so some bloke hopping across a 500m battlefield just takes the edge off playing :annoyed:

Although no word on the release date as yet....

Good news.

Have just been on a server where a guy was shooting me at spawn from other side of map through bushes and walls.

He even told all that he was cheating but no-one could kick him.

can't wait for the patch either.

Do you play any other FPS games online? if so what would you recommend?

Well it depends on what you like... if you like WW2 the CoD and MOHAA SP are class. I havent got BF1942 yet but will get that when BFVietnam comes out...

Raven Shield is class if you like realistic modern warfare, as is BHD and SOF2 at a push..

For Alien killing there can be only one... UT2003 but Jedi Academy is quit good also....

Some may be surprised that I dont mention HLCS but it seems a bit old by todays standards and even with all the mods, newer versions beat it hands down...

Thank f*ck for that!! im sick to death of ppl with aimbots & stoopid ass bunny's hoppin all over the place!!
can u imagine if the guys in band of brothers or private ryan bunny hopped around??

BF1942 is a good game if u like you're battles more realistic, but for sheer class and mayhem COD kicks a**
Any ideas when the new patch will b about?

I have been hoping that someone would have created a multipayer bot addon, any ideas if this is in development?

BHD = Black Hawk Down

And due out in the very near future is the addon BHD:Team Sabre. Pretty good as in 1 mission you are SAS ( :thumbs )

Note that this does NOT include PunkBuster... it fixes the bunnyhop and scope probs (although by all reports it is near impossible to use the sniper rifle now!?) and has a new style of match...

yeah the new match is headquarters, gotta hold the radio in the base or somethin..................
As for the snipers, its very rare i use them so i aint too sure on this, i prefer the M1 Garand :thumbs
So glad they sorted out the bunnys tho!!
The only thing i h8 is the auto-team assign thingy....
Im just skulking up behind some germans, M1 in hand, and THWACK! Dead, and re-assigned to the AXIS

Apart from that im still lovin it :thumbs

Seems that there is some confusion of Punkbuster and the new patch... it has been said that the new 1.3 beta can mess up your install...
