adding dvd writer & hd to pc

Can someone please advise, my pc has a dvd drive & 120g h/drive on one ide connector, I now wish to add a dvd writer & another 120g h/dive on the second
ide connection, so I will have 2 h/drives & 2 dvd drives, which way is best for the ide cables to be connected, i.e one cable for the h/drives & the other for the dvd drives?

I would put both hard drives on the same ide cable with the operating system being on master and second on slave

Then stick the writer as master and reader as slave on the second ide cable.

Thanks Guys. I shall fit the units as recommend by you knowledgable folk.
Also the ide cable that I have ordered, is described as 80 way 100 atp, is this ok there was some 133 atp also. Not sure if that makes any difference.

You want the 133 for the HDD's but the DVD drives are ony running at 66 so any cable will be fine.
