    Default CD-Rs

Haven't a clue where I ought to put this question.

Correct me if I'm wrong but is it right to say that a correctly burned CD-R on good media should be fully compatible with any Audio system be it defined as CD-R compatible or not?

If you are talking about a copy of a normal Audio CD on to CDR - yes they work fine on normal audio CD players. I have hear of some high end audio players not working with data CDR and needed Audio CDR's but its rare.

Some older CD players can have a problem with CD-R & can tend to skip & jump, especially car CD players. Also the new fast media doesn't help. In the old days the 8 speed dark blue Verbatim 74min CD-R burnt at 4X was compatible with most things (Old players used to have trouble reading the last part of an 80min) & particularly good for the original Playstation.
