Large HDD in xbox now code 06 :( help

Just done an xbox with a 2.3b lite & flashed ok with 4980 all is fine with ch*p on and off with std HDD but i have a 160GB that came from another xbox that was formatted with x-disk 093 but when i installed it into the newly done xbox i get code 06 with ch*p both on & off?

Ant ideas ? should i slave this HDD to a pc & freshly format it, will that do the trick ?

soounds like it might have been locked in the other box mate, pop it back into that and unlock it then try it.

as skel28 said unlock it from the old xbox the it will go in the new xbox with the chip switched on, then just lock it from that xbox and the it should run fine with the chip on or off

cheers guys i`ll have to format it i think as the original box i locked it in iv`e sold now.

Just hoted up the locked drive from my xbox & it`s useless.

The only way i can unlock it is to put it back in the original xbox & unlock it from there !

Thats right -thats why they calling it locking - that drives going nowhere without the original Xbox or if you locked it with Config magic as there master password is always the same. teamassembly I think it was....cant quiet remember. Only way to unlock it without the Xbox.

if you locked the drive with config magic then the password to unlock would have been team-assembly or teamassembly, somethin like that, cant remember now
