Linking Access to Excel

Can anyone help me out. PLEASE
at college a few years back i made a Access database which linked to M$ xcel. It had records of employees length of service, salary age, job type and so on.

the problem is at work the employer wants me to make similar database, problem is i lost all my past notes and am completely stuck. :|

ok...
u had access linked with excel u say?

u can make a simple database in access quite easily

1st..

Think of all the info u want to store.
then think of how that info will be stored (datatype)
when u get that, let us know..

It had records of :
employees
So ..
Employee name : (String)
Employee Address : (String)
length of service : (if your gonna do calculations make it an integer) else a char.
salary : (again if u gonna use a fuction to sum it up use integer )
age : as above (common to use string)
job type : String..
and so on.

when uve done that, open up Access and create a table...
then we'll go from there.
