Mirc and d/l eps.

After kicking sky to the kurb I'm trying all alternative ways of getting tv stuff as apposed to d++ and kazza lite.

I've just tried mirc, is it me or is this queuing thing real, just requested stargate ep 7x16 Death Knell.avi from several different channels and all are queud for like 12-20 hours, some are for days..am i doing it right or what?... :nowords:, i could download it from dc at 15kb/s in that time.

I get all irc channels from packetnews.

How do you set the shared directory with bit torrent, i'm d/l at 5-20k but sending at 30k and haven't a clue what it's uploading? weird!

Sorrted just found torrent storm, you can set the upload speed too

Not sure I agree with that, if we all limited the upload speed would we ever complete anything?

btw imo BT is def better for tv shows than irc the speeds do tend to waver up and down a bit and ive found that if you dont get whatever straight way then you generally not going to get it

whats the point in broadband if you can only download at 5-6k/s because your upload speed is sapping your bandwidth at 30k/s, you have to restrict it, otherwise its not worth it, bb users just wouldn't use it, its to slow, now that would cripple it.
