watched the programme and it was both interesting and disturbing at the same time. it's incredible that the same practises of likes of Hitler and Stalin may be going on today unchecked.
"For the first three years" he explained " you enjoy torturing people but then it wears off and someone else takes over. But most of the time you do it because you enjoy it."

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
the same way the nazi's did i guess. They give them the power and teach them nothing but hatred and that everyone else is scum and that they have the right to harm and torture these people. Being taught that for their entire lives, they believe it....
I don't know what's true and what's not true.
However I do get the clear impression that the media are starting to move towards an Anti-North Korea stance.
Could this be the prelude to an invasion by the saviours of the world (Bush and Blair for those not in the know) to help save the world from these evil empires.
Now I am by no means saying that Saddam Hussain was a good man, but I will keep pointing to the reason given for going to war against Iraq was WMD. We were told time and time again how Iraq had them and were ready to use them against us. What happened in the end?
Beware the media scaremongers.... let's get all of the facts in first eh?

Anon.
spot on.However I do get the clear impression that the media are starting to move towards an Anti-North Korea stance.

as you say its disgusting....but what might worry you more is that it is not just THEM that do this. this sort of behavour is in no way confined to some nutty dictator..it happens all around the world and by goverments you might think are civil.it's incredible that the same practises of likes of Hitler and Stalin may be going on today unchecked.
Also watched this program. I think N.Korea is going to be bush blairs next target and I will put money on that. But if they do then I suggest we all buy a gas mask and chemical suits cos they WILL send chemical bombs over for sure, They can easily take out the UK with chemicals if they wanted to.
Personally I think north korea are a bunch of paranoid bast4rds
Cob
The will send chemical bombs over for sure? Are you sure about that Cobra? Oh and they deal with Nuclear rather than chemical weapons... not to say they don't dabble.
I have more chance of getting blown up then you do, The Koreans (soon to be Corea) hate the Japanese.
Oh and Paranoia is a trait on Communist countries... China are the same, So was Bulgaria, who as it happens treat their mental patients with the exact same care and love as the North Koreans do with their prisoners.
The North Korean's ain't stupid. The yanks are stomping there way round the globe, the Korean's are in the cross hair all right, but I think there are a few more countries left in the middle east to sort out yet.
North Korea wants the United States to guarantee its security, send it oil and remove it from a list of states that sponsor terrorism. In exchange, Pyongyang promises to freeze its nuclear program.
exactly what it did last time.
personally id feel happier and safer if north korea was made less of a threat, from everything ive heard they are more so than most other countries
i agree. it's also notable that N.Korea seems to have very little electricity according to satellite pictures from space - probably using their nuclear reactors/technology to produce WMD's rather than electricity vital to their impoverished population. now that is worrying.Originally Posted by maverick_15
If we do start anything with Korea we better be careful, they seem much more dangerous than Iraq.
yeah, and i have a worry that if nothing is done about them now while they are still able to be taken down then they will reach a stage where they have the ability to put up an even stronger defence. at the moment they are meant to have 6 or 7 nuclear weapons i heard, give it a few years and then how many might they have??
As many nukes as the US or China...? hahahaha I don't think so!
That may be true, but Id rather one of the few they have wasnt dropped on London, thanks very much! :/Originally Posted by CueballKrill
They fact they have *any* is a serious worry. It also means things have to be done diplomatically.

There is no way on this earth that North Korea are going to get a missile from there to here. It's not like Korea is 5 minutes away from England... even if they had missiles that would travel the many thousands of miles to get to the UK do you think everyone is just going to look up and watch them fly across... they will be shot down before you could say Dog Dinner
Well they still dont have a way to stop ICBMs... Not that Korea has such a weapon, though its not hard to load one on a truck and drive it into the centre of town.
Even if they only struck out at South Korea we would feel the effects, remember the neuclear cloud from Chenobyl (sp?) it would be a lot worse....
