Installing Printer

I have just connected up a HP OfficeJet K80 to my PC, but it does not see it!?
I am running XP and when I attemped to add manually it manually the drivers were already in XP's list..

In fact I dont even have an LPT port in my device listing (Only 2 coms)?!? :nowords:

Should I add an LPT port manually (if I can) or is there something else I should try????

Ok I installed the ECP LPT port and it came back with a ! next to it in device manager... Code 34 Windows cant determine the settings for this device...

I assume this is now a HW issue, can a mod move this thread to the PC Hardware forum... Thanks

Sounds like your parallel port is disabled in the BIOS. Check it out.
