      Default Modem problem

      Trying to get my m8s modem working, got the driver from driverguide and it installed ok and appears to be recognised, but when its "connecting i dont hear the dialling and then after getting the "authorising username and password" message it says something about not being able to agree ppp protocol and disconnects.

      The pc is running 2000Pro.

      Can ne1 help please?

      removing and re-installing TCP/IP should get it working.
