If you were in Alien where would you land?

Most films/tv shows would have you believe that the only place for an Alien to go is America... Home of the free and simple minded. But would an Alien really want to go to America? Landing on a trigger happy Yanks porch is the best way to get your alien ass shot off.

An Alien might like to go to a quiet spot... to settle in before notifying to planet about it's existence.... New Zealand might be a good space, low population, lots of room, Low level military... not a big chance of getting shot at.

Anyway... he is the start of a list where as an Alien I'd hate to go...

America
Africa
UK
Mexico
Germany
Spain (inc Portugal)
Turkey
Japan (they would use me for advertising and manga sex)
