    Default hdd troubles

ive posted at xbox-scene and recieved no response so ill try you folks here. some time back i modded my xbox and put a 120gig maxtor hdd in it. well, ive just recently built me a new computer and want to take that maxtor out of my xbox, put it in my computer and take an old western digital 45gig hdd and put it in my xbox. ok, well i ripped open my xbox and pulled the hdd and stuffed it in my computer. however, when i turn on my computer with the hdd plugged up it wont load up windows. consequently, since i cant get into windows i cant format the thing. ive tried using the killdisk program on it and everything i can think of to no avail. so, if anyone out there can help me id greatly appreciate it.

    thanks

You might need to unlock it first before putting it back in your PC. Or you may need to zero the drive for windows to recognise it. Thats all I can think of at the moment. Good luck

Have you checked the jumper setting on your drive then asked your bios to detect it? Does the bios detect it?

would you not just be able to fdisk the drive and kill the partition? just curious on this one as i may end up doing the same eventually.
