I can`t help with code, but to remove the radio from the dash board, you can buy from halfords 2 special U shaped tools. Which you insert into 4 holes at either side of the radio, these should be blocked up by 4 grub screws.
To remove the gub screws you will need a small alan key. Push the U tools in untill they stop or click, now with a bit messing around, you should be able to pull the radio out.
I think you could do it, with 4 watch makers screw drivers pushed down the holes, which would hold the clips back. But you will need to pull on the radio itself to get it out instead of pulling on the U tools.
The serial No. is stamped & written on the side of the radio.
WARNING I don`t think it is possible to remove it without unpluging it from the socket at the back, it will lose its code if unplugged like mine which now says "Safe". If it is working get advice as what to do before removal.
Hope this helps you
