Default Bumper jackpots for Euro lottery

    <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=203 align=right border=0><TBODY><TR><TD> National Lottery enthusiasts will have another outlet

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><!-- E IIMA -->Tickets for a Euro Lottery will go on sale this weekend, offering jackpots which could reach £50m or more.

The game is described by Camelot as its "most ambitious game since the launch of the National Lottery" 10 years ago.

Tickets will cost £1.50 in the UK and offer a greater range of prizes than existing games.

The new game, called EuroMillions, is being run in conjunction with lottery operators in France and Spain and more countries could join next year.

    Friday night

Tickets will go on sale on Saturday and the draw will take place every Friday evening, starting on February 13.

The draw will be shown on Sky Television - the first time a National Lottery draw has been transmitted by a commercial broadcaster rather than the BBC.

The starting jackpot is estimated at £10m and Camelot says the average is likely to be around £14m, though rollovers mean it could grow to £50m or more. Sales of lottery tickets have stabilised after several years of decline and Camelot hopes EuroMillions will help sales grow again.

that's probably because the value of the euro is so low at the moment and is expected to pick up over the next few months. so they're probably starting at that point to save hiking it up to protests.

its a bigger jackpot in theory due to more potential people playing it. I've yet to play it, I want to buy my tickets online like I do for the normal lottery, makes like a lot easier
