    Default 2 PC's - 1 Monitor?

    Lo Guys,

    My problem today...lol

I have two pc towers that i would like to use one monitor. is there an easy way that i can switch between the two?

I did think of the old fashioned switch boxes that we used to have at school etc - remember, where you would switch from A,B,C,D etc to your letter everytime you wanted to print something...lol...

As that method above seems outdated, someone told me u can use a certain piece of software (? dont know its name?) with a double adapter that the monitor would go into ? and use the software to swtich between ur 2 PC's ?

now all of this is new to me, and i have never seen anything like it. BUT would be very grateful to anyone who has the right answers!!!

I'm about to have to do this aswell, i know you can get a modern day version of your old school switch which i'll be getting. I've never heard of any software but i'd be interested in hearing.

100% Free, REMOTE DESKTOP in XP, works a treat and is what I use to control my 3-PC's in the loft.

I have two PCs in my house only one monitor. I use the most powerful one for general stuff - the other is a FTP/mail server. When I want to use that one I just use XP remote desktop to control it - all on one monitor with one keyboard and one mouse. Try it out - u may find it is exactly what you want. You can disconnect rather than log out which means you can leave programs running just like switching a monitor off on your PC.

It isn't - You use one PC to remotely control the other one - of course this is useless if you want to play games but works fine in my instance as its only a server I control for housekeeping

MajorFU - you don't turn the remote computers off. And no - I'm not joking.
