GX20 Unlocking

anyone got the sofware for this yet... I only have gx10-gx10i and these are starting to fizzle away now with more and more people getting the GX20

I've tested it but didnt work for me. However I put it down to the OS I was using, Windows XP Pro. I dont know if this is a common problem as I have posted a few times but never received a single reply.

Going to attempt to unlock myn on Tuesday with my data cable

No m8, you need a serial datacable. The GX-10 cable will do this.

ok m8 i just bought today a Sharp XN-1Dc10 Cable

It is serial and an office sharp product ? so it should work

and also is there a risk i can **** up my phone with this , 200 quid so tbh i dont really wanna do that

I have never heard of anyone damaging thier fones when unlocking them. But I am no expert when it comes to the GX-20.

Ok m8 no problems , as you said your no expert on the GX 20 so if you cant answer this nps but is the cable i have the right one ?

You can indeed damage the GX20 woth the free unlocking software with some versions

We have sent 3 or 4 away to the service centre from people in our area damaging them

Best just paying to get it unlocked by someone with a griffin, if in doubt ask the shop what they are using to unlock your ophone, if they are using a clip or griffin then you are fine, if they wont tell you then steer well clear

I received my gx 20 this morning locked of course erm
when i start Sharp_Unlocker_31.exe the programm dosent start and i get this error

Component MSComm32.ocx, or one of its dependencies not correctley

Registered : a file is missing or invalid

I have downloaded it about 10 times and it says this everytime

Im currentley on a crap windows 98 pc but i went home and tryed it on my pc )xp home) and it did the same

Any ideas guys

For further reference the MSComm32.ocx can be d/l. This then has to be put in the "system32" folder in XP. Not sure about Win 98 though.
