    Default Lennox Lewis Retires

After a 14 year pro career Lennox has called it a day, Britains best ever heavyweight and arguably one of the top ten heavyweights of all-time, was only one of three men to retire as champion, i wish one of the most intelligent and articulate boxers we have ever produced all the best in his retirment.

He has nobody left to fight, they are all bum's. Look at Tyson, he is in that much debt he does what he uis told in the ring... ala lay down for Lennox and don't fight back.

A good decision to retire at the top. I just hope he doesn't decide to make a comeback like alot of the others did.

It's tragic that his career as a top boxer doesn't look that magnificent because he never toppled anybody like Ali did or lit up the crowds like Naseem did, he didn't have the ferocity of Tyson. Don't get me wrong, he has had a great career, I just think like someone else said he's got no1 else left to fight now so he has thought er ok I'll stop.

Maybe if Tyson hadn't had so many unfortunate happenenings in his life we would have seen the greatest fighter of all time in him and one of the greatest fights of all time in Lennox vs. Tyson.

i heard that he is now going to co-promote/manage audly harrison now i cant see the point in this because as soon as harrison steps into the ring with someone decent it will all be over, what a waste of time :|

I know what you mean. I'd love Harrison to step up and knock the crap out of his first big opponent, but i just can't see it happening

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

It won't happen, there isn't a good enough opponent out there and when there is he will be flat on his ar5e in the first few round's. Boxing is not what it used to be be, all the action and competition is in the lighter weights.

Correct, Lennox is co-promoting Harrison(For now...) i've never rated Harrison, but by todays standards he is a genuine prospect, and a potential money spinner.

Having said that, i have noticed a marked improvment in Harrisons ring craft in his last two or three fights, he is certainly training harder and he weighs-in lighter than he used to.

I can see no reason why Harrison cant win one version of the heavyweight title, but he certainly wont go down as one of the all-time greats.
