Samsung in a 1.3/1.2 mobo

Is it possiable to put a Samsung drive in 1.2 or 1.3 motherboard with minimal effortI know I might have to flash it. I had 1.5 motherboard but melted it down while installing a mod, a good friend can get me a 1.2 or 1.3 mobo. The power supplies are same, I was woundering if I could just through my samsung in there?

you can put any xbox dvd rom drive in any xbox mate, they all have the same electrical connections and characteristics.

putting the drive in the motherboard may be tricky :S

but yeah, skels right, all dvd drives are compatable with all xbox versions

Put a regular DVD ROM drive in there if you like but it wont play original discs that`s all

So there no need to flash anything or change power connection to make them compatable. I can just put in 1.2 or 1.3 motherboard instead of melted down 1.5 mobo. Hook everything back up and things should be cool?
