Default Hyundai Coupe F2 Evolution Ltd.

ok seen one, been looking at these, or rather the nromal 2.0ltr SE for some time, now i have come accross Hyundai Coupe F2 Evolution Ltd Edn.

this will be (if purchased) my second car.

Does anyone have any experience of hyundai's in general, good cars?? long lasting. My Dad has one but was out of the country for years, so has not really had long term experience with it.

I ask because I have not a clue. Any answers/feedback/or links greatly appreciated.

in short the car is low mileage, netwrkQ certified, clean (as it would be) damn fine condition one owner, elderly male. V plate.

I can't fault the new ones to be honest m8 , if its a good price then give it some consideration. Don't pay over the odds for one as it will drop money quite quickly.

This is the ltd edition in celbaration to some rally win or something, it was released and done just before the new shape, so in efect it is the v1 shape with different skirts, rear bumper and front grill with lower bumper profile. Oh yes a slightly diiferent fin.

A friend who is well into cars looked at list price, apparently 600 less (i think) less than the garage is asking, so he is very confident I will knock them down. if i go ahead.

well i certainly have gone through my numbers, not just have to try and find some indication on general running costs and life time of common parts per mile as such.

Well went to see the car. Picking it up Fri. No need for a body kit, it looks damn fine.

However i did see on of these with a front light kit on. Again i cant find anything for these cars. THe links above are great fo full kits, but i need bits. Well i do not need, just would like.

    Cheers.....Q

I bought one of the first coupe's to come off the boat in '96, and it's about to click over 100K soon. Apart from regular service (avarage about 120 quid every 10K miles), tyres (80 quid a corner) the only things that have gone wrong are 2 shocks (at about 80 and 85K miles) , battery (just inside warranty), alternator regulator (17 quid DIY) and wiper motor (45 quid from breakers). Exhaust manifold has a minor crack since about 5K miles ago, but livable-with, just a bit more throaty.
I think this is pretty good going- if you find a decent mileage one with FSH I'd say go for it. Insurance is also cheap - when I swapped my policy from a 10 year old Celica to the new Coupe, they gave me money back!!!!
