Help with a 7210....

OK - I have a 7210 that my mate has 'lent' me - as he smashed my missus's 7210 pissed up at our house the other night. Its an 02 ..... now it accepts my Orange Sim Card ..... but he told me that the phone is reg'd to 02

I want to put it on Orange - so I am wondering -
1. If he cancels it - will they lock it (assuming his independant Insurance will replace it)???
2. If its locked at all ?? - as I have used latest DCT4 Hollow and Cyberdog calc... and when i enter any of the codes it states code error....

If your m8 reports the fone lost/stolen then it will be barred in time. The fone aounds like its already unlocked as it takes both Orange and o2.

Yes it will. The IMEI number which is a serial unique to your phone will be barred. While IMEI's can be changed it is illegal and I think can get up to five years in jail.

if he cancells the contract then it will be ok(i pass my old contract phones to my kids all the time) it will only get locked if he reports it lost/stolen
