Just finished the basic design of our new venture, kinda ties in with the last venture if you remeber it for those who read my last thread in this section, anyways, any comments on design, HTML etc are welcome. (I already know it don't validate at w3c.org due to a few work arounds, but it ain't far off)

Very nice design, crisp and clear, and very eye catchy.

Not being picky or nowt but when you click on the 'How it works' and the 'FAQ' tabs, i think it would look better if they didnt load again when clicked, so only the bottom half of the txt that will be displayed will load.
if you know what i mean.

Looks nice and clean, little slow but that could be my connection!

Does this really fool any of the spiders nowadays??

One little note, the bottom right and left corners of the navigation tabs don't seem to match up correctly, and I can't change the font size on the text..

Surprisingly it all still counts m8, over last few weeks I've been doing a bit of research into search engine submission and keywords in yer alt tags, body text, comment tags & url's all count towards the how high you are ranked, I'm still experimenting and will be for the next few months to see what is effective and what isn't but if I don;t try I won;t know so if it works I'll keep the long alt tags if not I'll discard.

As for the left and right bottom corners of the nav tabs, can see it m8. Can you be a bit more precise.

Font size is determined by px in the css, I know its frowned upon for disabled viewers but I want to control the size of the text and thats what the font-size property is designed to do so why not use it, I feel for the albino's but they'll have to get a speak and spell. (only kidding if theres any albino's reading)

site looks quite nice, pardon my stupidity but your selling web domains yeh?
First glance i thought it was a dating website... Cupid Partners... doesnt sound like a domain reseller... Hyperglobalmeganet.co.uk possibly( which is actually available) .. but apart from my pickiness very crisp design mate.
Home is the only button that displays anything right? Cos im just getting a white empty space underneath on all the other tabs.

I like the subliminal message on the main page 'easy money'

No its a partners scheme m8, basically we've got a site at cupidblue.com and we are going to offer people their own domain name and an identical website (apart from where it says cupidblue.com it will have their domain name), and they will market it and whatever they sell from that website they get a percentage of the sales. It'll be made clear on the 'How it works' page.

As for the subliminal message, how can it be subliminal if you noticed it????

very nice mate, but one thing that i thinks wrong is the tag on the e.gif image, because as soon as you put your mouse above the nav a big box of text appears, how about putting the tag into a smaller image? maybe a 1x1pixel image to the right of the e.gif image?

You need to be careful - it smacks of Pyramid Selling if I have understood it properly, not affiliate stuff....if it is PS it may be illegal....could be the wording or how I read it....but if I mis-read it.....

thats a crock of shit mate, it's affiliate sales that costs you nothing, same as amazon do it.

Pyramid selling???? I've never been so insulted in my fukin life, like xdam says its an affilitaes scheme with a bit of a twist, instead of people clicking links with affiliate code appended to it, we actually give people who sign up a site of their own, a domain name of their own and they only have to market the site and they get a percentage on the sales, how the f**k is that a pyramid scheme?

cj, you should offer the domain at a price but offer an altertnative of a sub domain on accountname.cupidpartners.com or just cupidpartners.com/accountname, so you arent losing money.

you could also offer a deluxe account where they get the domain + extra editing options e.g. how the sites laid out (what order stuffs listed), higher comission rates, text on front page, etc.

Again ome good ideas m8, but we're gonna keep it as simple as possible to start, just imagine if we get many users like brumbino, if we make it any more complicated it'll totally confuse them.....................m having a rethink on design as it may suggest something it ain't, am worried now...........

the pyramid selling never even occured to me, i don't know what brumbinos on.

you could have a flash file where the big image is on the front page running the user through the process of what there getting, the thing that might make it seem dodgy is your giving away a domain name - something that costs you money, for free, with that kind of thing people think there has to be a catch. maybe say theres no contract and no obligation to maintain the site?

Yeah, I think we should have a rethink on some of the things, we actually had no intention of giving that a domain name as their own, we'd always own them but they get a unique domain name for the site. This way if a partner is not really performing we can cancel their account after say 3 months of inactivity and use the domain name for another partner account.

Thing is the home page needs to be a hook to get them to click on How it owrks so they read the detailed explanation, hmm, am gonna have a sit down and a think about stuff...

i think registering domains for everyone that signs up is a real waste of money they dont need them, just get a really short domain name thats connected with your company name and give them a forwarder

Site looks very nice, although i must admit at first glance (not knowing about your other site) i thought it looked like a domain-name/hosting company.
