Try DB poweramp music converter - it's free and I think it does mic+line

    the page is here

If you go to the downloads page it has an add-on called auxilliary input which does the mic+aux etc.

I am a musican and i have recorded my band using cakewalk, (sonar 2)

It is a bit exessive if you just want to do some simple recording of a microphone into your computer.

Try googl'ing for a program called 'n track' its a free multi track program. I havent used it but someone told me it is quite good

If youre recordinga a microphone you probably want something to increase the gain before it goes into the computer. Most microphones how a low amplitude, meaning you will end up with a lot of noise. A small mixer or microphone pre amp should solve this problem.

I already have a Mixer, yeah sorry should of stated that, my MIC is into my mixer, so its the levels that come out of mixer, records fine on WIndows, I tried getting the dbPoweramp addone, but I could not find it :-/ I use that program for conversion anyway... Yeh Cake walk is rather expensive... Was looking for somthing free (unemployed student lol ) Ill tri that " N Track " let ya know...
