    Wireless Network

Got a wireless network installed. Can use net from multi computers fine. However, cant see other computers, so can't share files play network games.

Have Win 98SE installed on all machines. (Don't wanna upgrade as working fine with all hard/soft ware - except this network issue!!).

Any tutorials or hints on setting up networks on 98??

    Thanks!!?

Have you got folders shared? Make sure you have something shared on each computer (you may want to re address this security once and if the problem is fixed so you aren't vulnerable to the internet).

What your saying is the router takes the internet connection and gives it to all computers but the computers can't see each other?

Do you know if you have DHCP or static IP's (that means does your router or a pc tell every other pc what IP address to have or have you assigned them)

Either way if you know your IP address (go start > run > type cmd and press enter, then type ipconfig and ur ip address should be there) then ping it. Go to the command prompt again (typing cmd) and type ping <ipaddress>. If it gets a response go back to network neighbourhood or whatever it's called in 98 and see if its there.

Have you ran any wizards and do you know what protocols you have installed?
