Yeah you need one of those all region DVD discs, I got mine off Ebay ages ago.

As far as I remember, when the disc boots it gives you a region option screen (0-6).

Have not used it in ages though as now have a DVD player.

Yep you need a disk but they are very cheap , got mine from Amazon.co.uk cost about £6 including p&p only thing you need to be aware of tho is if your tv is ntsc compatible.

that is true if your tv is new then you should not have any problems, as the disk works fine on my pc but my mates have had problems

as for a chip my boot disk uses a memoery card type of thing

there are also other mod chips that have multi region dvd support built in. But it sounds like you already have the Matrix MXL so its a bit late

Ive started getting a green screen on my dvds, I dont know why but I've heard a lot about it so I'm sure the info is out there. If this is related then check it out on the net.

all eu ps2's give green screen out when using a rgb scart lead. There is a solder link to make on the motherboard, or use a composite type cable (like the one supplied) when you view dvd movies.
