Its by far the cheapest dvd site ive ever seen and the service is great.

Ive orderd plenty of there now and had them arrive within around a week.

Just to let you guys know, I ordered the Alien Quadrilogy Box Set on February 5. It arrived on February 10 and only cost me about £33!

First time I'd used DVDSoon and I'm well impressed.

just be careful when ordering anything over £18 - as dvdsoon now mark the value on the package and you may well get stung by customs and the royal mail handling fee too.


www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk is worth a try to double check the prices at several places including www.dvdpacific.com and others that can often be as cheap or cheaper

www.find-dvd.co.uk is another good price checking site - but only for region 2 dvds.

On the price check site. i did a search for Rain Man for a example.

It says the total at dvd soon is GBP8.59

Which is not the case.its £6.50 as there is NO shipping charge.

The price checker is adding on postage.

i presume it'll be updated shortly - DVDsoon just recently re-introduced their "free" (at the same time tons of prices went up - but it was just a freak coincidence - honest) postage offer.

A lot of the prices definitely went up - that's a fact.

And you're pretty luck if you've not been stung by customs on things over £18 because they now declare the actual value on the package (they never used to). DVDPacific are cheaper occassionally and (well the last time i used them they didn't) they didn't declare the full value on the package. Even dvds from cd-wow are begining to get hit by customs occassionally.

I read about possibly getting stung by Customs before I ordered the Alien Box Set but thought 'what the hell' and I was lucky. I guess its just the same as when you come back from holiday - sometimes they check everyone's suitcases :whistle and other times there's no-one there at all! :thumbs

Cheapest DVD site I have found and used for the past 2-3 years is

It the cd-wow Hong Kong site and charged in $HK and for example
Underworld is $HK89 which collates to £6.10 ish, they always seem to be
£1 or so cheaper than cd-wow.com or cd-wow.net
