Help connecting to pc

I had an older version of evo x dash on my hd and all was perfect id regularly connect to my hd and upload my movie files.
But i got hyped and used xdisk version 1.1 and now i cant connect to my xbox can anyone help me evox settings screen doesnt seem to save my settings i cant get it to keep the static ip setting i thought it might be cause my old files and the new were clashing so i formatted c and reinstalled evox with xidisk the just evox dash, option is the one i used but still the same problem the only time i get an ip assigned is if take the network cable out and plug it back in while my xbox is on.
So i save and then reboot and im back to square 1 dont wanna totally blitz my hd and start from scratch cause besides not being bale to connect to hd its set up a treat

Make sure your evo-x dash has priority and when you go into system settings and change the ip address you scroll to the bottom of that part of the menu and click on save and exit instead of clicking on back etc. Once youve changed the ip address you need to reboot the xbox for the settings to take place.

If youve done all the bove seems like its the xdish causing a conflict somewhere.

if the new instal of evox wont save your settings then its probably because the evox.ini file is keeping its read only properties that it would have if it was on the dvdr it was copied from

boot from a boot cd/dvd with evox already set up as u need it to be and then you should be able to edit the evox.ini to how u need it to be

Thanx for your help and special thanx to tar for hooking me up with the files needed to sort my problem .had to blitz c drive and reinstall evox slayers 2.5 did the trick now i can save my settings and im ftp'ing to my xbox hd once more
