7 day ban!? If that's all you get and you need to drive for work, take a week off :-)
If it was Caerphilly (Gwent) police it would have been a different story - they are bast*rds

I'd trade 5 points for a 7 day ban. You got a good deal, this should be in the bargains section.

Dont forget, a court can INCREASE a sentence if they think you've got off too lightly........LEAVE WELL ALONE! :nowords:

OK...am i missing something ....... if you get points (froma camera) your not a convicted driver if your insurance company asks...but if you go to court and get banned you have a driving conviction .... surely thats worse from an insurance point than a few points......insurance companies don't ask how many points you have..but they do ask if you been convicted ????
Is that right ??? i'm not a lawyer :|

The only reason the OP never got points was because he went straight in to a ban, however he is still going to have an SP30 conviction on his license for the next 4 years (which he will have to declare).
are you an asylum seeker?
what the ****??

Last week in Helsinki(Finland) a guy was up in court for doing 50MPH i a 30 zone, he was let off with a fine for the piddling amount of........
£116,000!!!
Over there fines are in relation to your earnings, the guy in question is the heir to a sausage empire!
