Default What do you think of this site?

This guy lived near me in Worcester and mentions Crookbarrow hill or Whittington tump. This hill is man made and 1000's of years old, Nearly as big as the tump in Avenbury. Never been excavated either. I think there are things hidden in there.

Anyway, for those who are interested look in. The site is big. Will find out some more about the writer in the meantime.

I got a reply to my email about the hill.
The only information I have on Crookbarrow hill is on my Website and you will have seen that obviously . There is data on its age, purpose and contents in the text and plan and section in the diagrams. What else do you want? I was disappointed when it was probed by iron bars and stone was encountered that it was not followed by excacation. The small stone chambers shown in my drawings are accurate in three diminsions and would have contained very ancient records. The mound was built by members of an Atlantean outpost around 6200BC. I have access to a databank in the Other World if there is anything else you wish to know..

    Regards, Arthur Wilkinson.

I'm pretty sure it's private land m8, its right next to J7 of the M5. If you travelling north bound on the M5 from say Cheltenham it sticks out miles away. Still looking for info.

    email received from A Wilkinson
About Coelath, I did not disclose the exact identity of the modern farm on the site out of consideration for the owner who, although she gives conducted tours of the very ancient farmhouse, mainly to local socienties and schools, might not like an invaseion of Web browsers with due respect to yourself.

In any case, the telltale signs have been covered since the lady realised that I had noticed them. I should not have written that but shall we say that she is sensitive about certain things, for a good reason be it said. Rather than try to extort a promise from you not to try visiting there, I apologise for feeling obliged to keep that knowledge to myself.
    It could be dangerous.

Blimey I seem to think about this every couple of years!
Drove past it again last week and it reminded me of this thread.
So did you get permission to go digging Robbo or just chance it?
