Help with using a link cable

I've just bought a link cable so that me and my son can race against each others built up cars on Need For Speed Underground.My problem is that i've connected the 2 xboxs up together but I havn't a clue how to make it work.Please help as I want to really kick my sons ass on this game

hmm probably multiplayer then link game - providing the game supports it and all that ?

doesnt the instructions with Need for speed have info on what options in the game you need to set - sounds like you have the correct equipment already.

if i rember rightly i dont think nfs underground can be linked i no its not live enabled and i cant rember seeing it system link

and http://www.xboxlink.co.uk/index2.php normally has every system link game (cos thats how xlink works via system link)

i think its to do with EA not haveing the required software to make it linkable...which either screams thats fake or EA were to lazy to do any thing about it?...but now they have the s/w and are making link enabled games.....just going to have to go for split screen im afriad
