win xp out of memory

Hello Just wondering if anyone could help me please?
I am running windows xp home edition on my pc, and I used adaware and spybot to remove critters fro my pc, as it was running really slow and so was the internet.
anyway, now every time i boot windows it comes up with the error messag
"out of memory" and "windows plugins initialization failed" when i click ok c\ programs loads up with a small white icon in it with 'istvc', I try to click into it but nothing happens. also I cant connect to the internet anymore.

sounds like a viruse has corrupted one of the o/s main executables or it's just a simple thing like your main hard drive is full

Thanks for the quick reply, Do you think norton antivirus would fix this?
Or do you think that a clean install of windows is the only fix?

You could try a scan but if no luck it could be a boot form Windows XP CD and try to repair your current installation.
