Holby hire Doc Trueman
EASTENDERS’ Doctor Trueman is to star in Holby City.
Actor Nick Bailey has started filming with the hospital drama — as a cop.
Ex-Corrie star Chris Bisson is also set to join the BBC1 show, which has around nine million viewers.
Chris will play the foster brother of twins who are rushed into hospital.
A show insider said: “Nick was very popular with viewers in EastEnders so the BBC were keen to find other roles for him.
“He has been wowing the girls on set in his policeman’s uniform. If he is a hit he could be signed for more episodes.”
Nick, 32, first appeared as Dr Antony Trueman in 2000 but left Albert Square last year after an affair with Walford’s fiery Kat Slater.
Nick and Chris will appear on screen next month.
Other Holby guest stars will include comic Josie Lawrence and Gerard Kearns, who appears in Channel 4’s Shameless as Chris Bisson’s young gay lover.
Antony Daniels, who played CP-30 in Star Wars, will appear in April.

Well...that news doesn't surprise me at all!
Holby City, Eastenders, Corrie, Casualty and the Bill - there seems to be this whole 1ncestuous, pass the parcel thing with these shows. As soon as an actor leaves one, they turn up in another
...except Sid Owen that is - he did nothing after leaving 'enders the first time (except release an atrocious single), and I'd wager that he does nothing this time 'n all :tongue
