Default help - Blaupunkt car300 code

i bought an Opel Astra with a Blaupunkt car300 radio-cass in it. but it says just "SAFE" on the display... figured out it might be locked. can anybody help me with this?
    codes are:
    7 649 852 320
    GM0300Y8995328

can i enter it as many times as i want? because i live in an area where the radios are often stolen, and would like to take it out when i don't use the car for a few days...

    tks guys,

    tks alot! works just fine!

is this decoding done on base of an algorithm, that generates the codes from the serial no? and do you reverse engineer it to find out what the alg is, or what?

I'm a programmer, a bit into hacking, and studied electronics/telecommunications, and i'd like to learn more about this, help to find codes for more models... any hints on where to start with learning, and do you know anybody that needs a "student"?

The Ford C & L algo will be a good place for you to start as it is not too hard to work out to get 95% codes correct. There is a second part to this algo that some people seem still not to know!

Ford M and BP Standard algo are more complex due to their use of lookup tables. All other BP algo's (Citroen, BMW etc etc) are based around the standard BP algo with just pre/post-calc stuff going on in there.

Easiest way in would be to reverse engineer an existing calc. I would suggest the ETL BP Calc http://www.etlweb.com as this uses an Atmel AT90S8515 MCU which is not too hard to extract the code from and is easily disassembled. A picture of my modified ETL calc, from which we initially worked, is here:

Hope this helps and good luck.
