I couldn't find a defintive answer and i did try searching

Being a newbie to all this i have come unstuck i have several phones that i want to unlock (Motorala and Sony Eriksson)

I've heard of being able to flash an OLD 3410 or 3310 to allow it to generate the codes to unlock all phones what i need is somethinge xplaining to me.

1) Here do get the software
2) how to do the flashing and what do i need
3) what phone do i need or can i buy one cheap?
4) How do they work
5) any other relevent information

By my understanding you need:
- 3310
- MADOS Flash files (http://www.digital-forums.com/showthread.php?t=193793)
- Flash Cable
- Data Cable

This is how u actualy flash the fone:
D/l Rollis Flasher (latest Version)
Connect fone to Flasher Cable (Printer Port NOT Serial)
Click "FLASH" at the top. (make backup just in case lol)
Click "Write"
Load the .fls file, click "open"
Another box will appear, make sure the start adress is "0x200000" click ok.

Then it will ask to "power the fone on" (you will see when the fone is being flashed)

THEN

D/l Nokia Tool v1.8 or simillar

Connect the fone to the serial cable (F/Mbus cable) and read fone info, then "Update Faid"

Big thanx to Termy for the above info.

It works by putting another menu into the 3310 allowing you to put the imei of a phone into it and generating the restriction codes.
Im pretty sure it does not generate codes for all phones tho, i know it does DCT3/4 and a few other makes.

Im still a newbie at this myself so if any of my information is wrong, big sorry, please correct it.

As far as buying your cables go, have a look on eBay or go to ur local market and speak to a guy on a phone stand.

I have found one on ebay i assume i can make one of these i have an old 3330/3310 using instuctions but still alittle advanced for me can someone check this and see if this is what i could create?

but its is MUCH MUCH MUCH cheaper to make lol
u said u got a fone, and u gonna pay a couple of quid for the cables, software is free.
so u can buy that for £130... or prob pay £15 max on cables

Have you done the above method and does it work?, Yes i have a phone although the one in the picture is the 3410 isnt it? i have a 3310 is that ok.

This is new to me will it unlock Ericson phone as in T610 etc as well as all nokia DCT3/4/5

What other phones does it do and here is a question.


What cables do i need and how do i plug them in? and how much would some one charge me to mod the previously mentioned phone save me doing it as i will need some serious puppy walking otherwise ;-)

U need a datacable (very cheap on eBay) they can plug in via serial port. im not sure if u can use the USB ones but i imagine u can (dont hold me to that tho)
and u need a flash cable which i couldnt find on eBay :S
im not sure how much they are but i wouldnt think they were all that expensive.
i havent done this myself yet, but i have talked to people who have done it loads of times. There is loads of information on this forum and all the software needed.
just get the cables and do some reading as should be as easy as nefin

u plug the cable into your PC via USB or serial port.
and into the back of ur 3310, tkae the back cover off and take out the battery.
u will see a lil hole and 4 gold circles right under the word 'nokia'
thats where the data cable plugs into your phone.

Hi m8, firstly you will need a flasher cable (plugs into printer port) and the SERIAL Fbus/Mbus Datacable (you can buy the lot in one kit that will do all Nokia DCT 3 fones) Here Items 3 and 4.

You CANNOT use the USB cables for flashing/unlocking.

Or I could do it for you, pm me for details if you are interested but it is sooo easy to do once you have the cables.

Another point is that you are better using Win 98 or M.E as I have found that Xp doesn't like flasher s/w and even some unlocking s/w. I built a second machine with M.E on and all fone flash/unlock first time with no probs whereas with Xp it was taking a while.

THE phone in you ebay link is NOT A PHONE its a data 1 clip
thing you are on about is a phone with a flash on it send it to me and ill flash your phone 4 you ??4 a small charge ??

Ok im not actually after a phone as such i have seen adverts selling coverted mobiles that work by unlocking phones generating the correct Unlock codes etc.

Im not to worrried if it doesnt work as a phone allthough it would be cool.

How much to do this if i wanted to unlock a 3310/3330 i would just generate the lock 1 and 2 codes and use them ???

we have gave all the info u requested.
now after you last post, what is it u actualy want?
there are remote DCT3/4 unlockers avalible all over the net or you can flash a 3310 do generate them for you.
when the 3310 is flashed it will still work as a phone.

as far as im aware, u cannot unlock any ericssons with a flashed 3310. and i fink they only do a small amount of motorola if any.

if you give us a clear idea of what u actually want, theres a good chance we will be able to solve your query.

I have heard that you can unlock ericsons this way, but i havent had any confirmed reports i want to really unlock 2 phones an ericson p900 and an ericson t610(i) but though while im doing this i want to do them remotly coded preferade as the frend of mine with the t610 doesn tlive near me,

As i see remote codes on the net but ther expensive i assume there must be ways to do it? and any other phones it unlocks is a bonus.....

If these are the only two fones that you really want to unlock then I suggest you buy the Terminator Dongle. This will allow you to unlock MOST Sony/Ericssons after the T29.

You can pick one of these up pretty cheap m8 (around the £25 - £30 mark.)

OK i understand that but my way of thinking was if im goinf to spend say £35.00 i might as well spend a few more quid and get one that does all mobiles ?

Thats whatn im after and i prefer remote becuase i have done remote unlocking of nokia and you cant fu*k it up really but i once tried to unlock a nokia 3210 via cable solution and buggered the phone.

Firdtly, you cannot get one piece of kit that will do everything.
Secondly, We are just trying to save you an awefull lot of cash.
Thirdly, There are still certain fones that cannot be remotely unlocked, therefore a cable is the only alternative.

As far as I am aware there are no free unlock codes for the S/E fones, and it is not hard to use the Terminator Dongle (if I can then anyone can) and once you have bought it you can get your money back by doing other peoples fones.

I think waht you require would cost you a few grand.

Also, if you are not sure on how to use cables then all you need to do is ask on here m8.

Depending on where you get it from you should get the s/w with it m8.
