    Default Difference between two EEPROMS.

What's the difference between a 93C86 and 93LC86? If i was to set my programmer at 93C86 and read/program an EEPROM 93LC86, will I run into problems? The reason I'm asking this is because my software doesn't have the 93LC86 listed. The only one listed is the 93C86. Please help.

The extra L means the LC86 works at a lower voltage than a C86, never tried to do what you need to do but for the short time it takes to program in a programmer I would expect it to be ok, if your doing a dash which has immobiliser data in it be aware if it goes wrong then it will cost you dearly to get it sorted at a dealer if it goes wrong! What car are you wanting to do/what area?
