screen problem

i've got a pretty poor laptop and just upgraded from windows 95 to 98SE. everything works fine, apart from the display option won't let me go larger than 640x480 or 16 colours. it wasn't a problem in 95, and i've installed the right drivers for my graphics card. can anyone help, it's very annoying having a picture with lots of unnecessary black around it

i know you say you have installed the right drivers for you graphics card but it sounds to me like you hav'nt.double check yourself and go to the website and download the latest driver.
