Default Xbox Music Mixer - Custom soundtracks in games?

I was reading an ign article about the lack of a hard drive in xbox next (which is old news now) and they mentioned that the lack of a hard drive would mean "that we could see an end to custom soundtracks in games..." (4th paragraph down - http://xbox.ign.com/articles/496/496885p1.html )

I didn't even know you could do that with that app!! So does that mean that I can take a game that is in my xbox hard drive and strip out the music whereever I want and place in whatever mp3 I want in its place?!! That would be PHAT!

But I don't know how to do that? Is there a tutorial somewhere? Also, I understand that the RIOT release needed a fix. What is the ppf for? What was wrong with the original release from RIOT? Finally, I heard that there is a crack to transfer the app to the xbox hard drive? Is that what the RIOT fix is for? Cheerz.

the music mixer doesnt work off the HD, or atleast it didnt, i havent seen the ppf to try out but i have the game here.

the custom soundtracks thing isnt really anythin to do with musicmixer tho, if you rip a music cd using the music option in the MS dash then some games give you the option to play these during the game

OIC. So you can't just place in any music you want anywhere in any game. Well that is the only attraction about this for me and since it does NOT have it, I'll just skip on this one. Thanks for the info 909.
