New boy needs help please!

:thumbs Hello i'm new here, just registered.
I have recently bought a 1996 N reg Ford Fiesta LX (U.K.)
and have been tring in vain to unlock the radio. Its the ford 3000 radio. The car has had a new starter moter & other repairs, during this the radio has become locked.
It now also displays a #10 as the owner couldn't remember the number so has used up all attempts.
Does this now mean I have to take it to a dealer?
I have read some posts about decoding using the serial no.
This is the first ford I've had & dont know how to get the radio out to check. I've not been driving that long.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be extremely greatful.

Chuck it away its a standared radio right go buy a nice new kenwood or something just a thought. But im shaw someone can unlock it for you.

thats true mate, but as I have nay wonga at the mo due to cost of car I would like to get this one goin, to use in the meantime.

Gladly, but as I have only just got the car (last night) and have never owned a ford before, How do I get it out to check?
I have no tools or owners manuals.

ok, managed to eventually get the radio out using 4 mini screwdrivers and have now been given a code after posting the serial.
