Spray Gun Happy

Hi lads,

My car went in for a service and came out with a scratch on passenger front door, the garage paid the bill for the door to get resprayed, but when the car came back i wasn't happy with the blend in on the wing and rear door so the car went back. i finally got it back today and have noticed the whole side has been sprayed, although the job is 85% good i can notice its been done, can i sue or demand compensation?:nowords: havnt spoken to the dealer yet.

The garage gets one chance to put it right by law m8.

It's normal practice to paint the full side if theres a risk of the colour not blending correctly with the rest of the paintwork.

Unfortunately traders generally use the cheapest places possible to save cash, this isn't a good practice as you have found out m8.

I'd have a word with the dealers and see if they have anywhere better they use to rectify the problem. If not get a report and a quote from a decent body place and ask the dealers if they will settle the bill.

Thanx urbsy, had another look at the car and the job is pretty good actualy, rang the body shop and asked wy the rear pannel had been sprayed and they said the same as you ''get the colour right'', they told me because its silver its quite a hard colour to match especialy pearl affect.
