downloaded s/w asking for password ??

Back in april i downloaded some s/w (freeware) and saved it to cd, i have used this s/w on several occasions since, but today i tried to install it and its asking for a password ? It has never ever asked for one before and all the other things i have saved onto the same cd are ok, any idea's why it should ask for one now, I can easily d/l it again its just bugging me why it started doing this.

might be a only use for 160 day type thing so its recorded the day you downlaoded it and now its passed its so called "sell by date"

downloaded it again and its doing the same thing, tried it on my other HDD and it didnt ask for a password ? Iv'e done something wrong somewhere along the line. :|

The software would have stored something on your computer to say you've already used that software even when it's uninstalled.

there may be a registry entry - this will contain the date you first installed it - ethier search the reg for the softwares name and see whats there (warning editing you registy can arse your PC)
