    Default Sound on Farcry

I am using headphones with an audigy II Plat (i know i know but the mrs is trying to watch TV) i keep getting a crackling every 30 seconds or so my next step is compatability mode in sound set up but with it being a creative card and latest drvers i would not have thought that be necessary
    any ideas
:kissass  Hmm I wonder which 3 this is ????

Oddly I have a audigy 2 zs card and I have sound probs with far cry, kinda crackles every 4-5 seconds or when somthing explodes. Says in the readme to turn down hardware acceleration in the control panel sound options but this aint helped me. Its the only game this happens on so I think it may be a game issue, hope a patch or summit comes out soon, sorry to be no help whatsoever....

    I had some problems - I have a Audigy 2.

I downloaded reinstalled the lastest drivers and now it works fine.

Sorry - yeah it was the sound drivers and I didnt remove the older drivers (which were from the audigy CD by the way) - It was strange I was getting the backgroud music and some of the speech but no in game gun noises or footsteps etc - I checked the the directX setup (dxdiag) and there was a problem when testing the DirectSound - but only on one of the tests. After reinstalling DirectX9.0b and retesting - this was fixed and all tests ran fine but it made no difference to the game. Reinstalled the sound drivers with the lastest and it works fine now.
