hello there guys could any body help me is it true if i leave my radio on in the van with the ignition on will it unlock after 1 hour or am i wasting my time

the reg number keeps on flashing up to now should i touch the the control knob to see if the code facility comes up or will it do it itself
ps the serial no is m035608 and i have been given the code 1244 is this corect
