xp user password forgotten....help desperately req

well ive gone and forgotten the bloody user password on the computer................when xp loads to the user select screen i get 3 possible users me the wife and guest it wants the p/word for me and the wife(hint aint helping)but i can get in as guest no probs

is there any way to disable/cheat need for password

im sure it asks for a password every now and again

That's easy mate. Boot into safe mode, The Administrator login should be added to all the other "Administrator" empowered logins, ie; you and possibly your wife; although not mine.

If you have not password protected that Administrator login, and the chances are you have not, click that and hit enter.
You can now go to control panel, user accounts and change YOUR password to something you can remember.
