More free microsoft software

Everyone knows the website http://www.microsoft.com/uk/technet/...evaluation.asp that you can get free microsoft trial software from.

I found another place though, go to http://www.microsoft.com/uk/partner/ and you can order evaluation software in large quantities at a time and loads of other stuff! I had a large box delivered to me today including 7 copies of windows xp pro evaluation and 7 microsoft videos which are nice if you've run out of blank tapes, 7 copies of Frontpage, 7 windows xp demos and 3 marketing campaign guides with some cd or another in it. Oh, and 7 copies of an office xp demo disc with Jonathon Ross printed on the front?! :nowords:

The stuff you can get is cd's,dvd's,posters,brochures,evaluation software,leaflets,marketing kits,partner guides and videos.

I only picked a few things to see if it works but you could order TONS of stuff.

Why would you want it? well, I needed a backup copy of windows xp pro and the video tapes will come in handy. Probably just... because you can!

but what does evaluation software consist of? can you only use it for certain amount of time, windows xp for example?

Yes, usually 180 days or 360 days but "unlimited" if you know how

That jonathan ross package I recived last year.
out of the blue, I go a big pakage of all new office xp and win xp crap. with binding full of the usefullness of office xp.

I wouldn't have thought so... There will be a limiter programmed into the software I think.

vgopal, as far as I know, the software IS a fully functioning Windows OS. It's only the key that they supply with the software which is limited. After the evaluation period is over, it gives you the option to purchase a legit key online or over the phone.
If you use a "legit" key when installing, that should be it...
