Is your keyboard / mouse USB or PS2?

If it's PS2 than there in no drivers for it so it should work anyway. Have you tried safemode.
If it's USB try connecting it to another USB port.

Does it work before windows. I.E getting into the BIOS?

Problem Solved and if you find yourself in that trap the way out is dont select r for recovery console where it needs the password select install and it then gives another repair option its almost reinstaling windows but the data is intact and all works fine
