    Default Overclock OK?

    Is this ok?

    I have a pcchips M825LU V7.1a mobo with a 1.4 Duron.

I flashed the bios with the new updated for the v7.1c board. This bios thinks I have a pro2300 installed, however under the CPU info I can raise the clock multiplier (which was locked with the V7.1a bios).

Windows and CPUZ now reports 1.6ghz duron.

Would this be stable enough to keep this way?

    PS is have 256Mb o PC2100 DDR and GForce 4000 126mb on AGPx4

Relatively small overclock so you should be fine. If you want to test for stability though, try running Prime95 (1st test) for an hour or two, or do several loops of 3dMark2001.

You'd probably get a bigger system boost overall if you increased the FSB a notch or two to get the same CPU clock speed, providing your RAM can handle it.
