    Default Torrent client settings?

At the moment I'm using Burst! but as I am on ISDN, (9-10kb max.) I find tha my u/l speed is nearly allways higher than my d/l speed, using Burst, the min u/l speed setting is 10kbs. Is there a client that the min u/l speed can be set lower than 10kbs?

what are the reasons behind azureus being shite ?

I don't find any problems with it, I'm all for trying something else but I've had no problems with azureus since I started using it so haven't bothered to look at another client

only problems i've heard about azureus is that it uses a lot of resources, otherwise i find it an excellent client.

actually, azureus is one of the most widely used clients i think ull find. and one of the best.

only problems were that in previous versions it was very power hungry, and i stopped using it for a while too and switched to abc for a couple of months, then switched back once i read that they had fixed a lot of the resource issues and i can safely say it shits on ABC's download performance as ive used both and for me it constantly out performs abc. oh and another thing is azureus actually sticks to the global upload setting you give it, where as ABC seems to do its own thing, upload speeds were all over the shop with abc.

Well the CPU thing was what did it for me.

I have since heard a fair few complaints about it on various sites so havent bothered trying it again, maybe they have fixed it.

Love the quote about it having faster speeds than ABC, were those tests done on the same torrent with the same amount of peers uploading at the same speeds?

I get full download speed most of the time wtih ABC, to be honest its probably just a personal preference thing.

I will try azerues tommorow and see for myself if it has improved.

cpu usuage is usually very low now, memory usage isn't brilliant, but its nothing compared to what mozilla eats for me

Cheers for the help, didn't mean to start an argument though! I switched to ABC, purelly because of the 3kb upload setting, (cheers Most!) My downloads have speeded up quite a bit, (as much as possible on ISDN,) but if I had broadband, I would definitely switch back to using BURST! It is a much better client imo.
