complete nokia cables

Hi Peeps, soz but yet a gain a question from a complete newbie who stilll has johnstons baby soap behind his ears lol. I just a purchased complete set of nokia cables and was wondering if they were compatible with any other brands.

Hi m8, the kit that you have will probably be the one with the PS2 connector. The ends will not be any good for other makes/models other than Nokia, thats why it is a Nokia kit. But the serial adapter may be of use if you can get hold of any connectors for it. I think there is a Samsung/Siemens kit that uses the PS2 connectors, but I have never seen them for sale as seperate items.

I presume the kit that you have is the basic 4 piece adapter kit with the serial cable, and the LPT/Printer port flasher cable. If so I dont think the flasher cable is any good for other makes as most can be done via the serial cables these days.
